Preflight Control

Before boarding their flight, international passengers go through three controls:

  • customs (to declare goods and valuables taken abroad);
  • passport and border (check of identity documents and legitimacy of crossing state borders);
  • security (check ofthepassengers personal items toensure security oftheflight).

After successful passage through all the controls, the passenger comes to the sterile area; that is the area where checked passengers can wait for the boarding.

Domestic passengers go through the security check and come to the sterile area.

If you are carrying animals or plants, you have to pass the plant-protection control, theveterinary control and thesanitary-quarantine control.
